How to save case drafts in PIC app to capture later

Learn how to save a new case in PIC app as a draft in order to capture it at a later time

In PIC app, a case can be saved as a draft to be captured later. This allows you to set up cases in advance as well as duplicate existing drafts to repeat captures with the same odontogram distribution (e.g. for a provisional and a final prosthesis).

1. What gets saved in a case draft

The full information of a PIC app case gets saved in the drafts for later use:

  • Title (Case ID)
  • Case description
  • Jaw selection (upper jaw, lower jaw)
  • PIC transfers distribution on the odontogram

2. How to save your PIC app case as a draft

PIC app case draft 2The Save button in the lower right corner  becomes active (turns from gray to orange) after placing at least 3 PIC transfers on the odontogram page during case creation.

After tapping the orange Save button, the case draft is automatically saved and you can safely return to the case list instead of capturing.

3. How to access your case drafts in PIC app

Case drafts are available in the tab selector at the top of the My cases list that you can access from the PIC app's main page.

Case drafts are only stored locally on the iPhone they are created on, and they are not synchronized between devices or on PIC cloud at this time.

To access the case drafts again, make sure to use the same iPhone and PIC app account you used when saving the case draft initially.

Your case drafts will remain saved even if you log out of your PIC app account and log in again later, as long as it is done on the same device.
